Two new AW14 boot styles to feature OrthoLite insoles
Amherst, Mass. (August 19, 2014) – OrthoLite, the leading provider of comfort insoles, announced today its continued relationship with Härkila, a Scandinavian hunting brand and leader in performance clothing and footwear. Two boots from Härkila’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, The Big Game GTX 8 Optifade and Forester Lady 16” zip 3mm H-vent, are co-branded with OrthoLite insoles. These boots are currently available for purchase throughout Europe, Russia and Canada. To celebrate the partnership, OrthoLite and Härkila are teaming up to give away two free pairs of the Big Game GTX 8 Optifade model through a Twitter and Facebook sweepstakes running from August 19 through August 26.
“OrthoLite has a long history of collaborating with Härkila; we’re happy to introduce our foam technology into these two boot models and grow in the hunting footwear category,” said Pamela Gelsomini, OrthoLite president. “With the addition of OrthoLite technology, hunters experience more comfortable and lightweight footwear, which makes for a more enjoyable experience.”
With these two new additions to the AW14 collection, Härkila now has 23 shoes and boots that feature OrthoLite technology. Descriptions of the two newest boots to the collection include:
Big Game GTX 8 Optifade (229 €): Extremely lightweight and supportive boot.
Forester Lady 16” zip 3mm H-vent (215 €): With 3mm neoprene lining this boot insulates down to -20˚C. A close-fitting boot with flex-fit™ and a flexible rubber cap that makes the boot easy accessible.
“At Härkila, our mission is to create the ultimate hunting gear fit for the roughest terrain that protects from the elements,” said Henrik Slot Nielsen, R&D Manager for Härkila footwear. “OrthoLite insoles are among the world’s best, and only the best quality insole for Härkila. Through our continued partnership with OrthoLite, our customers benefit from the best degree of comfort and performance. The compression set of OrthoLite insoles is less than five percent over time, so the fit stays stable and provides maximum comfort during a hunt.”
From August 19 to August 26, OrthoLite will host a Twitter and Facebook sweepstakes for a chance to win a pair of Big Game GTX 8 Optifade with OrthoLite insoles. The sweepstakes is open to consumers 18 or older, who tag @OrthoLite and use the #Harkila hashtag in the comments section of the Facebook post announcing the sweepstakes or tweet @OrthoLite with the #Harkila hashtag, explaining why they want to win a pair of boots. Two winners will be randomly selected on August 26 and OrthoLite will notify winners by tagging one winner in the original Facebook announcement post’s comments section and by a tweet followed by a Direct Message that requests shoe sizes and mailing addresses. Boots will be shipped to the winners in September 2014.
