OrthoLite Announces Partnership With Timberland To Enhance Timberland Radler Camp Series

OrthoLite also announces business expansion in Asia

Amherst, MA (December 8, 2011) – OrthoLite®, the leader of open cell foam insoles, has partnered with Timberland to incorporate its X-40 insole technology into the outdoor brand’s versatile Radler Camp series. Beginning Spring 2012, OrthoLite insoles will be incorporated into the Radler Camp Boat Moc, followed by the traditional Radler Camp Moc in Fall 2012.

First introduced in Fall 2011, the Radler Camp collection reflects the ultimate in packability, versatility and comfort. The unisex shoes feature a deconstructed ripstop upper that’s treated for water-resistance, a Green RubberTM outsole made with 42 percent recycled rubber, and a minimalist design that zips into itself and clips to a pack for convenience.

With the inclusion of OrthoLite, Timberland® Radler Camp shoes will feature the unparalleled benefits of OrthoLite performance, including breathability, moisture control, anti-microbial properties and long term cushioning. Furthermore, OrthoLite’s X-40 High Rebound line offers an advanced foam insole to use in high impact sports applications and has an elasticity rating of more than 40 percent.

“We are excited to launch OrthoLite technology in the Timberland® Radler Camp series,” said Pamela Gelsomini, OrthoLite President. “This partnership couples Timberland’s reputation for premium products with OrthoLite’s groundbreaking insole technology.”

“When looking to enhance the comfort level of our Radler Camp line, OrthoLite was an easy choice,” said Gregg Duffy, Senior Director of Performance Footwear for Timberland. “OrthoLite X-40 technology is the perfect foam for this minimal footwear; outdoor enthusiasts are certain to appreciate the great bounce and resilience this insole has to offer, whether they’re settling in at the campsite after a long hike, or just wearing them around town.”

Timberland® footwear is available at the company’s own specialty retail stores, outdoor and sporting goods retailers nationwide and by visiting www.timberland.com.
